House Paint Color Palette Available

Nothing spruces up a house more than a nice new coat of paint.   If you are ready to paint the outside of your home,  be sure to submit the proper forms for approval first.  The Board of Directors has currently updated/modernized our Association's palette and it is available at:  Sherwin-Williams #7009, 5814 Highway 6 North (just south of West Little York), 281-859-7437.  Please stop by and check out the approved colors prior to making a selection.  Just ask any of the Sherwin-Williams store personnel to see the "Sommerall Paint Palette".  Additionally, if you let them know you're a resident of Sommerall, you'll receive a 10% discount off your purchase.  15 body colors and 8 trim colors are available.  There are 10 other colors approved for either body or trim.  A sample palette will be posted on this web site at a later date.  Thanks for doing your part to keep Sommerall looking great.  The Board does not mandate or require that Sherwin-Williams' paint be used but appreciates their cooperation with us in providing the palette.

On-Line Service Option for Citizens Reporting Crimes

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has implemented an on-line service called "CopLogic" for Harris County citizens to report crimes.  This is for reporting lost property, theft, or vandalism ONLY and ONLY when the complainant has NO suspect information.  This will be provided as an option to the citizen in lieu of waiting for a unit to repond to their location.

Examples of incidents that can be reported via CopLogic:

1.  LOST PROPERTY:  When property is missing or lost, i.e. leaving items in a restaurant or missing from home.

2.  THEFT:  Property is taken without the owner's permission.

3.  VANDALISM:  The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property, i.e. graffiti, knocking over a mailbox, throwing a rock thru a window, etc.

To utilize this service, go to www.hcso.hctx.net.  Click on "Report Crime" link at the top of the screen.  Click on "Report an Incident".  Follow the instructions on the screen for filing an offense report.

This service is being provided to citizens as an option for reporting a crime and use of this system is not required.  A unit will be dispatched if requested.

NOTICE - Required home alarm permits

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is asking all homeowners to be aware and take the appropriate actions to insure their home alarm system is properly permitted.   All home owners within uncorporated areas of Harris county [Sommerall qualifies] who own a home security system must obtain a permit to legally operate it.  Obtaining the proper permit will avoid issuance of a citation and excessive false alarm fees. Should you require a copy of the permit application form, or would like to review the regulations regarding permit requirements, you may do so by visiting the Harris County Sheriff's Office website at www.hcso.hctx.net.  The application can be printed from the website, then completed and mailed to the Harris County Sheriff's Office with the applicable fee.  Should you have any questions, please contact the Alarm Detail office at 713-755-4600 during normal business hours.

HZM Ministries

HZM Ministries, a Christian driven youth ministry and worship organization, is currently conducting Operation ROC (Rebuild Our Community).  If you are elderly, disabled, or of a lower income status and are in need of having repairs, maintenance, or improvements done on your property or residence, they are willing to assist.  Their typical agreement is that the property owner will cover the cost of materials and they will provide the labor at no cost.  If you are interested, feel free to contact TC Villalobos at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 281-831-6051.  The Sommerall Board of Directors has elected not to refer any specific property or resident to HZM and the Board is not specifically endorsing HZM or their services or referring residents to them and their services.
