USE OF THE POOL IS A PRIVILEGE AND MAY BE SUSPENDED AND/OR REVOKED AT ANY TIME, IF ABUSED
LIFEGUARDS HAVE FINAL AUTHORITY REGARDING POOL RULES AND SAFETY
1. The pool is for Sommerall residents and their guests only.
2. American Red Cross Guidelines will be followed for rain/thunder/lightning.
3. Sommerall Homeowners Association is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
4. The on-duty lifeguard(s) is/are in charge at all times. The life guard(s) has/have FULL and FINAL authority concerning pool matters. All complaints should be directed to Houston Recreational Management at (713) 932-7665, our pool management company.
5. Children under ten (10) years of age must be accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age. Children ten (10) may visit the pool by themselves if they have passed a swim test administered by the lifeguard(s). Baby sitters/child care providers must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and proof may be required. Any baby sitter/child care provider that does not adequately supervise the children in their care will be asked to leave. Lifeguards are responsible to GUARD LIVES, not baby sit.
6. Children five (5) and under may use the wading pool. These children must be accompanied by an adult. Plastic elastic pants are required for non-potty trained children.
7. Every homeowner family member and renter/leaser family member must wear a valid pool tag to enter the pool area. Only adults are permitted to bring guests and must remain with their guests in the pool area. Each adult is permitted to bring two guests.
8. Swimming pool tags are distributed by SCS Management Company (281) 463-1777 each year, typically in the early spring. Tag request forms will be mailed to property owners/residents, once the request forms are completed and returned to SCS Management Company, pool tags will then be mailed to the property owners/residents. Initial tags are currently free of charge, but replacement tags could impose a fee. Additionally, late applications will be charged a fee.
9. No running or excessive horseplay is allowed. Lifeguards will determine when there is excessive horseplay and their judgment is final.
10. Loud, abusive or vulgar language will not be permitted or tolerated.
11. Pets will not be permitted in the pool area, seeing-eye dogs excepted.
12. No radios or televisions allowed in the pool area.
13. Food and drinks are not permitted in the pool area. Glass containers, chewing gum and chewing tobacco are not permitted. Smoking is permitted in the designated area.
14. Proper swim attire is required. No cut-offs or T-shirts allowed. Swim suits will be worn while in the pool. You will be asked to leave if your swim suit does not meet standards of good taste, Remember that there are many small children using the pool. Please dress accordingly.
15. Diving in shallow water is not permitted.
16. Rest periods of fifteen minutes will be adhered to every hour on the hour. Adults may swim during the rest periods. Adults swim at their own risk. Infants three (3) and under may accompany a parent during this period.
17. Anyone swimming in the pool during any-time the pool is not open for operation, without proper authorization, will be considered trespassing and charges will be filed accordingly.
18. Private parties shall be booked with the pool management company.
DIVING RULES
1. No swimming in the deep end while the boards are open for diving.
2. Only one (1) person on the diving board at a time. Those waiting must wait their turn on the ground.
3. Divers must wait for the person in front of them to get to the side of the pool before diving.
